Peter is a solicitor in our expanding dispute resolution department, has worked in the legal profession on a wide range of dispute resolution cases for the last seven years and for the last three of those as a qualified solicitor. Peter studied for his law degree and legal practice course at the University Sheffield and began his legal career in Sheffield after leaving university.
Peter has a broad experience of litigation and dispute resolution matters ranging from representing executors and beneficiaries on disputed estates to helping owners of properties who have fallen out to reach agreements as to how the sale proceeds of their properties should be split.
As a trainee solicitor he assisted on an Insolvency Act claim that was a reported case when it was appealed to the High Court.
He is a strong believer in offering clients best value for money together with providing a quality service. One way he achieves this is by providing representation as an advocate to clients in many of his cases in the county courts which in turn saves his clients the additional cost of instructing a barrister to carry out this role. He has appeared in courts in Sheffield, London and Chesterfield to represent clients in possession claims and deposit disputes and has a formidable win record.
He is able to assist his clients in settling disputes out of Court through representing their interests at mediation sesssions and in negotiations directly with the other parties' solicitors.
Away from the office Peter enjoys walking, playing cricket and golf and is vice president of his local rotary club.
